Behind the track
Atlantic Saudade explores the bittersweet spirit of Portuguese musical tradition through melodic deep house, led by the shimmering resonance of guitarra portuguesa and the warmth of classical guitar.
Adufe, bombo and reco-reco-inspired textures bring an earthy rhythmic undercurrent to rolling basslines and expansive electronic atmospheres. Melancholic wordless female vocals hover above the arrangement, holding longing and gentle dancefloor momentum in balance.
At the edge of the Atlantic, the last light catches tiled facades and empty harbours, while a guitar melody lingers like a farewell carried out to sea.
